Top Tips for Children's Health

It’s back to school and the daily routine. This can be made easier if your child is full of energy and has a happy disposition. Improving their health is a great start to achieve this and Naturopathic medicines offer an immense scope of supportive measures to enhance your child’s health and wellbeing.

Consider the following:

  • Emotional fragility and fatigue: often associated with lower iron stores, especially if your child is pale and sometimes dizzy. Responds well to Floradix, a low dose liquid iron supplement.
  • Tummy Pains: reduce wheat and milk short-term. Supplement with magnesium phosphate and sodium phosphate (MPSP) for sharp and colicky pains. Formula GIT (homeopathic formula) and specific strains of good bacteria are helpful if the pains come from gas and bloating. There is always an emotional aspect to digestive disturbances, as simple as being anxious about being in pain. Flower essences are useful to address this component.
  • Headaches: if across the forehead and occurring upon waking or between mealtimes it may be a blood sugar headache. Correct with smaller, frequent meals that have less sugar, more protein,
    fibre and vegetables.
